Elves!! Do NOT archive!!
The boys aren’t mine, they belong to Pet Fly and such. This story came from an odd place...actually two stories, one humorous and one dark, merged into this, not to mention my own weird dreams and imagination helping out. Great, now it’s ‘off to Menninger’s we go’ for me!
This story is Pre-Megan, Cassie, and Death (which I’m still in denial about)
I felt compelled to add this...N*F*W*T*G...except for h/c purposes
Disappearance
By Laura Thomas
Part 1
Time unknown...
She couldn’t remember how long she’d been there or why she was there at all. They had taken her from outside the building at the university, that much she could remember. All she knew now was that it was dark and cold. She wasn’t sure if it was dark just because the light bulb was broken in the basement or because her eyes were swollen shut from the beatings. She was hungry too.
But none of that mattered anymore. Chances were that she wouldn’t make it out of there alive. She struggled once again against the ropes that bound her arms behind her back. After only succeeding in causing her wrists to bleed, she curled her bruised body up on the damp floor in a corner, defeated. She could feel darkness wash over her as the door to the basement opened, footsteps coming down the stairs. She began to tremble. Oh God, don’t let me die here. Don’t let them hurt me anymore...

Present...
"Technically it’s our jurisdiction, Detective Ellison. Kidnapping means the FBI can take over whenever we want," Agent Cameron took the file containing the information about the disappearances and made his way to the door of Captain Simon Banks’ office.
Ellison stood up and walked around the conference table in a last ditch effort to keep the case from the FBI. "We don’t even know they’ve been kidnapped. All we have proof of is two missing people. Last time I checked, that was NOT a federal matter."
"Detective Ellison, we will do everything in our power to find Miss Dalton and Mr. Sandburg. You have my word on that." And with those words, Cameron left taking the file and any hope of finding Blair and Kate.
After the door closed and they were left alone in the office, Simon spoke up, "Jim, I know this is hard on you but you have to let the Feds take over the case. If you weren’t so personally involved I might be inclined to decide otherwise. Not this time."
"Sir--"
"That’s an order Detective."
