WARNING!!! SPOILERS FOR CYPHER....not to mention that the following is completely POINTLESS!!!

Laura's randomly organized thoughts on Cypher. It's not that I don't enjoy the episode mind you, as a matter of fact I think it is one of the best written to date. But there are some fatal flaws...OK not exactly fatal, but definately noticeable after you've watched the episode like twelve times.

Flaw #1

Why does Blair bother to point and make a scene at the church? Did he forget that Jim can hear him from all the way upstairs. The fact is, Jim would be able to hear Blair's blood rushing through his veins, so I'm pretty sure he would be able to hear Blair whisper "Um hey Jim, that's the murderer!?" Why was it necessary for the writers to make Sandburg look like a fool? He is, afterall, the foremost authority on Sentinels...HOW could he forget something like that?

The sad part is that this incedent isn't the only one. He forgot Jim's sentinel abilities in one of the following episodes "Out of the Past." Jim says to him "If there's any trouble, call me." Blair, like an idiot, asks "On what?" Here we go again making Blair the absent minded professor.

Flaw #2

This flaw is more or less petty...shocker. Why, after Lash spots Jim in the church and leads him in a car chase, would Jim NOT CALL FOR BACKUP??? Hello? Is it not incredibly helpful to have HELP when attempting to apprehend a suspect??? If not standard procedure for that matter.

Now, I don't think Jim was trying to hog the glory of catching the serial murderer...though when Simon told Jim that Bates would be working with him made me doubt my choice. If Jim were only in it for the glory then, presumably he wouldn't allow Blair to ride along. That’s really not the basis of the show either, so basically I just pulled that from out of nowhere.

Okay, that’s it....I just needed to vent my frustrations about that episode. See, I told you it was pointless.
